"Mental Health Matters" Radio Program Wins Ambassador Award

The State of New Jersey Governor’s Council on Mental Health Stigma has awarded Hunterdon Chamber Radio’s "Mental Health Matters" program with an Ambassador Award for bringing awareness to mental health issues. The Council seeks to award those in the media who champion their mission to raise mental health awareness and combat stigma, educate the public about mental illness, and engage our communities in the process of embracing mental health by recognizing those in broadcast, print and online media who have demonstrated sensitivity, insight, and reporting aimed toward de-stigmatizing mental illness.

"Mental Health Matters" airs every Monday at 2:00pm right here on Hunterdon Chamber Radio with hosts Larry Cartwright of NAMI of Hunterdon County and Tracie Ivie.

Their mission is to help individuals and family members affected by mental illness.

Tracy Ecclesine Ivie is an award-winning writer, editor and author.
